hold light flashing, please help!!!!!

Hi,

I have recently taken my car to a garage and used the diagnostic checks (count the flashes of hold light). The codes are comming up as follows;

62 - got info for this
36 - REQUIRE FURTHER INFO PLEASE
38 - REQUIRE FURTHER INFO PLEASE

The problem with the vehicle is that it wont find 4th gear (Top gear), and the hold light is obviously flashing. Any help would be extremely grateful, and would help save anothr bongos live....

Hi jd, there is a section in the members only area which gives known fault code numbers, its listed under "transmission fault codes" .

I don't think the 2 unknown codes you have are covered in the fact sheet though

Try giving Dunnings transmissions a call on 01305 783113 .

They should be able to help you.

Sometime ago I had a complete list of fault codes for mazda gearboxes that gave more info than was on the fact sheet, plus of load more codes. Do you think I can find it?

As you're in Wales, I'd recommend going to see the guy at Auto Transmission Services at Kington - 01544 230699. Really helpful chap who knows his stuff, and his way around a bongo gearbox since he changed our solenoids (fault code 64)
