removing the 3rd row bench seat

Post by Rae » Wed Oct 10, 2007 4:18 pm

Hello,

I've had a browse but cant find an answer to our problem....

we've got a bongo :D with the 2 bench seats and we want to remove the 3rd row. So far we've managed to get the back seat out but as soon as the seat was out the base of it (in the runner on the floor) wont move at all; we've removed the runner covers also and cant see where to unscrew them to lift them out. :(

(Saw a thread re removing the 6 bolts that held them in but it looks like this referred to the model with the folding seats in the rear.)

Can any lovely bongo lovers shed any light on this for me please? I'm trying to get Optimus all ready for our first proper outing on Sunday 8)

I hope I've explained this properly but can post a pic if it doesnt make sense. :?

Think we've sorted this - need to push a lever in the middle where the seat would sit and then it should slide straight off the runner (once we've removed the bar at the end)

There's some info in the FAQ section on removing the runners from the tracks in case you get stuck at the next bit:
