If you stand up in a Bongo is there any more headroom with the top up,or is it the hatch to the sleeping area that gives you more headroom. If there is no more headroom i might as well buy a flattop as their is only 2 of us.

With the roof up, push the whole upper section floor upwards, it goes up to the roof (about 45 deg.) Voila headroom! Shakey

As well as the headroom, once you are parked up you can store your stuff high up ad out of the way from underfoot if you are not sleeping up top. You can keep stuff easily to hand at just above eye level.

...and it gives a less clostrophobic (sp?) feel and lets light and air in, even if you are just sitting there reading a book or having something to eat.

must admit somewhat reluctantly that most of the time, when using my bongolow (flat-top) as a camper, I wish that I,d bought an AFT, having sampled many at meets.

Its a bit of a swine having to open my flat top sunroof so that I can stand up and pull me trousers up in the mornings

Do like me and take the interior roof out, if you dont need to sleep up top, that gives you more room to stand.
