Carpet lifting

Post by Dude » Fri Oct 05, 2007 4:21 pm

Could anyone explain to a lazy DIY virgin how to lift the carpet to get access to the hatch for the fuel sender unit? Have had a small chat before but need idiot's guide.

Simple really, slide the rear seats as far back as they will go, middle ones as far forward and you have a fair working area. Now comes brute force, just grab the carpet and pull it like hell, it will come I know cause I have done it, just takes some pulling, goes back easy, when I did mine I drilled another hole, bared the metal and made another earth as a back up, no problem since. Happy motoring.
