I used the squeezy trigger type applicator with the attachment to do inside the box section - crap. get an electric spray gun from screwfix or similar for a tenner or so. thin the waxoil with white spirit, stood mine in a cool box full of hot water to thin it initially then made an insulated jacket for the can with some of the silver insulation offcuts from making my silverscreens.I used wheel ramps, plenty of clearance if you don't mind a few elbow scrapes & bashes. Remove all the plastic trim & engine covers for a proper job, pressure wash, couple of dry days to dry off at least. I used cold galvanizing zinc spray around spare tyre area first, wished i'd used it more comprehensively (belt & braces). Would recommend a trolley/crawler thing & dust sheets around the car to stop spray spreading in the slightest wind, Goggles, disposable masks - or keep your mouth shut - tastes cack Not happy with the coverage in the box sections, am researching the dinitrol angle from others recommendations on here. All I used was a 5 litre can of Waxoyl and a waxoyl trigger sprayer and extension probe. You will also need a pair of drive on ramps to give you more room and something to protect your driveway like a tarp or sheet.
Some cheap coveralls and a cap for yourself is also recommended.
All I did was drive the front up onto the ramps, removed the front wheel arch liners and the plastic engine protection cover and then spray away.
When the front half is done reverse the rear wheels up the ramps, take off the spare and spray the back end. I then thinned the waxoyl down with white spirit to use the extension probe in the box sections and sills. Most of the box sections are at the back.
It is messy and time consuming but good to know that its been done well.
By the way Waxoyl do a pressure sprayer which you pump up. I have used one of these years ago and found it a pain to use, I got fed up of getting back from under the vehicle to pump it up. The trigger sprayer in my opinion is better.
