Rear fog light

Post by portybongo » Fri Sep 28, 2007 11:12 pm

Just failed my MOT on the rear fog light not showing continuous red light. Guess this is as it was converted from a reversing light with red film stuck on the outside. This has faded and dried out letting the white light show through.

Anyone got a failsafe way of making this red again? Can I get a red bulb? New red film anyone knows about? Need to do it quick and without much techy know-how, as MOT has already run out.

Cheers

Hi Portybongo
You can get 2x36 red led 1156 P21W stop light bulbs on e-bay from jzautoled

I have just bought some and changed my offside reversing light to red

I had to file the hole a bit to fit it because its a little bigger than original
bulb, But now my dangly has gone.

Hope this helps

Or you could paint a clear bulb with red nail varnish.
