Cyl Head Temp

Post by Socket Set Sue » Wed Sep 26, 2007 11:23 am

How about this for a Cylinder Head Temperature Gauge with digital read-out all for about a tenner delivered. Ebay Item 260163526468

Not for me but I'm sure there will be some Bongo Technophobe just itchin to fit one of these and frighten him/herself to death when they see the readings......

Arrived in the post yesterday, within 48 hours as his webb site promised :)

1 hour to fit last night (by inspection lamp in the dark) - easy :)

6 mile to work this morning - work as predicted sitting at about 1 o'clock by the time I got to work - alarm worked fine presently set to the '4' position. :D

I'm in the electronics bussiness so the first thing I did was open it up and check out what I had paid for. The packaging is neat and well done; the circuit looks good and fit for purpose and obviously works fine; the electronics are made up on vero-board and is 'prototype' style but as a 'first production run' it is well made - soldering good and board cleaned (which is better than some of our prototypes  ) :D :D

At this price it should be in every Bongo - I recommend this product.
Well done Dave Mason
=D> =D>

I'm off tomorrow for the week and probably doing about 1,000 miles so will report back in a week or so on how it has performed.

As long as I show my age and nothing more, I'm hoping I'll be let off. Yep, they were good 8)

I've been building electronics for 40+ years but it's still nice to hear some appreciation.
