Rear Fog Lamp Switch

Post by kawasaki kid » Wed Sep 19, 2007 12:11 am

Finally got around to replacing the horrible aftermarket switch for the rear fog light with one from a 626 the dash looks a lot better and it only cost £2 from a scrapyard and about 20 minutes to do. The 323 should have the same switch in it. :D :D

That's good to know, I've been looking out for a replacement, but any mazdas in scrappies locally seem to have the switches ripped out, have to keep looking 8)
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

There are two types of Mazda rocker switch which i have come across - illuminating ( small bulb slot on top - lights up when switch is in 'on' position ) or non illuminating.
Does the 'fog 'switch need to be the illuminating type for the MOT or can you get away with the plain one?

It must be an illuminating type, just like this reply!

Just a quick update to my original post when you use the rear foglight switch from a 626 or a323 as well as the switch you need to get about 6 inches of the wiring coming out of the back of the switch and an led or similar to act as your fog lamp on light. The wiring up is quite straight forward you can pm me for any more info. Ian :)
