New tyres

Post by spamula » Tue Sep 18, 2007 5:38 pm

My bongo has 195/60r15 on the front and 195/65/r15 on the back.

I would like to buy 2 new tyres what size is best? The tyres on the car don't look right.

These are the correct sizes as fitted at the factory. ALL Bongos whether 2 or 4 WD have different size tyres back and front.

Are you sure? mine is a 4wd version I thought I needed 195/70R15 for the front and 215/65R15 for back?

Both tyres are too small, even if you used the back ones on the front, and replaced the back ones. Plus check the load rating - if someone has fitted the wrong size, they may have fitted car tyres, not ones suitable for the weight of a fully loaded Bongo.. Well they will almost certainly be standard, so the standard tyres should be fine.
