Air Con and rear wiper
Hello all
Can anyone tell me what the pressure should be when re-gassing the air con. Just been to Kwik Fit and, although very helpful, they have no knowledge about bongo's. He also said I should ask you guys and gals where the lower valve is for re-gassing. He could only find the one in front of the radiator. He managed to gas it to 310 and said i should return with the above info. Here's counting on ya!
While i'm here. Any quick fixes for no rear wiper working.
Thank you all again for your help in advance. You are all fantastic !!!!!
Kind Regards
Steve

Pressure when gassing the aircon? Now I know why I don't trust Kwik-Fit. You recharge an aircon system by first emptying it (discharging into a bottle) then refilling with a mix of new gas and oil by weight. It's 950g for a dual system and 700g if you only have the front aircon.
Rear wiper not working? Have you checked the fuses near the steering wheel (I forget which one). If not that then pull the trim off the inside of the back door and trace the wiring for a live feed to the motor or bad earth. If still no joy then suspect the motor. Apply a known direct live feed and earth to the motor, if it works you have a fault in the wiring. If it doesn't you have a duff motor.

low pressure valve and Kwik Fit
I had my air con regassed at Kwik Fit last week. We had a similar problem. The low pressure valve is behind the radiator. If you look from the front on the passenger side it is easily visible. You should also know that you need PAG46 oil. Ask your Kwik fit mechanic to contact the Branch at Leigh in Greater Manchester 01942 262266 and speak to Alan Case. He is now fullyinformed about Bongo Air Con.

Another one done
With the help of BF, Kwik Fit in Bournemouth have regassed my A/C, bringing it back to life for a lot less than many others would have charged.

Re: Another one done
If you use your aircon for a half hour or so, the smell should go - just make sure to use the aircon every week to keep the seals lubricated.Bongomatic wrote:just need to deal with the musty smell tomorrow...
