After much experimenting with different parts of the cooling system. I reckon a good quick test that your Stat, radiator, head gasket and head are all performing as they should be is to feel your bottom hose after a good long run. I have done this over the past couple of weeks on different Bongo's including mine after a 150 mile run towing a caravan. In all cases the Bongo's were all performing perfectly and the bottom hose in all cases was only WARM to the touch. If your bottom hose is HOT (like Vanmaneriks) then I belive you need to find out why this is. Could be..part open/closed stat, slightly blocked rad, leakey head gasket, air in system, duff coolant.
This is a easy check to do every now and again and I belive well worth while.

Hot bottom pipe.
As you probably remember I said that I was not going to reply on the forum again and have not done so since.................. but now having been quoted as having a defective cooling system I believe I should reply.
I had a couple of personal messages from Haydn concerning cooling systems and offered him some advice which it looks like he has decided to ignore, maybe Haydn would like to publish these PM's in reply to this post?

Sorry Vanman but I have deleated messages to make room for new ones. If you have them please feel free to post them. I gave you my thoughts in good faith as I felt concerned that you may by be heading for problems with your Bongo. If you choose to ignore well ment observations then please carry on. I considered your advice and I belive you are wrong.

How are the gizmo sales going?
Goodbye again, until roused into action.......

I have sold 80 plus gizmo's in the past 6 weeks and have a few orders to send out. This is far better than expectations.(although e bay has been slow to take off, it is however improving) Have had three feedbacks where the alarms have gone off. One was a leaking (overnight) waterpump and the other two whilst travelling (burst hoses) the latter ones could very well have ended in expensive repairs. However the timely warnings ment the rescue services soon had them on their way.
I am certainly not attempting to take your name in vain or even your Bongo's. If your bottom hose is running HOT under normal driving conditions then I belive (just me) that you are driving into trouble.
By the way. What is your case, that you are resting?
Do you have copys of our P.M.s ?
