fuel filters

Post by Timnz » Sat Sep 08, 2007 11:40 pm

Hi guys,
Anyone know what the banjo conector on top of the fuel pump is? I am trying to find the strainer that is talked about in previous posts.
Can anyone post a pic?

"some one gave advice about a very small strainer behind the banjo connector on top of the fuel pump that maybe blocked. sure enough after stripping off the banjo and removing the strainer from behind the spring i found it to be completely blocked. after a thorough clean and re assembley the freda burst into life and runs perfect "

Haven't got a photo, but it's the connection on top of the pump with a tube from the fuel filter attached. Remove that and stick a cotton bud down the hole in the pump - the little strainer will probably come out on the end of it - it's a very easy job.
Good luck.
