ID TAG Competition
Spice up the the van\forum name tag competition a bit with some prizes.

Junior ( under 18 ) Design Prize - Box of Choccies
Adult Prize - Bottle of Wine

Rules:
Keep it to A4 size sheet.
Can be colourful and simple.
Maybe go for cryptic clues to forum name.
Can be inside the van?
Can be on the number plate?
Can be a flag?
Can include lights - help you find the later after winning wine?

Just keep it to A4.

Any volunteers for impartial judges?

Just a little reminder as the meet is now getting close. Thanks to all for the great response to this meet. I am really chuffed and also nervous as it’s the first meet I have organised!

I will be on site from 9.00am on Friday morning – If you are coming Saturday please be aware that there is a security barrier and the site will only be accessible from 8.30am.If you are planning to arrive late Friday after 8pm please advise me.
Please bring the correct payment amount as not to create problems with change.

The site has a limited number of security gate fobs (£10 deposit), so if you are not planning to leave site please advise the site owner that do not require one, and if at all possible please share a fob with friends. Day visitors are only to park in the car park behind the toilets please.

As Daveblueozzie has said please put your forum user name on an A4 sheet in the front window. Don’t forget Snowkiters ID Tag competition!

I am concerned that the WC facilities will be stretched with the great response we have had for this meet, so if you have your own facilities please bring them. There are two showers one male & female. I suggest I put an A4 sheet with 15 min slots so you can book a time to use these if you wish- as to prevent queues.

There will be a raffle for the roof mattress from JAL Imports in aid of the Gracie Shoebox appeal; this will be drawn early Saturday evening so that the day visitors can join in. I know a few of you have been collecting your own shoe boxes for Pete...so don’t forget to bring them along. Thanks to Andandden for supplying Blackpool rock for the raffle also!

Don’t forget to bring a baby photo of yourself and hand to Yorkshire lass who will no doubt entertain us with a fun game using these. Mellyarnold has the bat, ball & rules for a game of rounder’s, so bring plenty of painkillers for the next day aches if your participating.

The “Davenport Arms” offer to all attending the meet.
If two Adults eat a main, you can get either.

A free Bottle of wine (red or white) or a free pudding or starter instead for your party.-Including the kids. Food served from noon until 9pm.Turn left out of the camp to the bottom of the road and left again. It’s about a 3 min drive. Please mention before ordering that you are at the bongo meet to get this discount . And for those who want to reserve a sunday lunch table the number is 01829 262 684

Gillian has kindly offered to organise some children’s games so make sure your brood join in the fun! And Snowkiter has kindly donated a six man tent for the weekend so the kids can have a chill out area. Please note no alcohol to be taken into this tent.

This tent will be located near to Harry’s Marquee. Thank you Harry for supplying the party area again! Thanks to all who have agreed to light these areas and all who have offered to bumper up the marquee with gazebos – if you have one bring it – more the merrier!

Can I suggest we start the BBQ’s by Harry’s communal tent about 6pm on Saturday so that day visitors can join us for tea before they leave and the young kids can join in before bedtime. So please bring your BBQ, food, drinks & chairs for the communal cook off in the non hook up field. If you don’t have a BBQ I am sure someone will have a space free to cook off your food. There will also be a communal fire provided by the site manager.

Information about the Ice cream farm/ Chester visit will be in your welcome packs for those who want to leave camp. I hope we have a bit of wind for the kite people out there! And some sun for us worshippers!

Remeber all the events are optional- if you just want to relax in your bongo and watch the world go by that's fine also !

Apologies for the long post ………..Please let me know if I have forgotten anything!
Cheers Jackie

I think that I would like to come to this meet as a day visitor if thats ok. I am a bit nervous though - what do day visitors do - dont we look a bit stupid without our bongos. My poor little panda is going to look very sad to be a panda and not a bongo in the carparl :(

Are the other day visitors who have confirmed that they are coming prospective bongo owners?

mobilecat, you will be made more than welcome.. Storm will PM you details etc.. but you will see some names here, as we will have signs in our front windows with our forum names.. So that will be a ice breaker for you....
And the, what may be strange thing is, that at a Bongo meet, it is normal for stranger to be walking and looking inside Bongos...
Promise you will be fine.... just fine..

all prospective bongo owners are welcome ,then you get hooked, and you become full time nutters with silly grins like the rest of us,come and have a look its an eye opener and a fantastic site to see ,you can ask as many questions as you like and have a good nosey at all the bongoes, and they are all different.
Lost without my Bongo.

ok can I come

Post by mobilecat » Sat Sep 08, 2007 9:56 am

Ok - put me down for a day visitor then. I will probably come on my own but I am not sure at this stage. As for being hooked- I already am and I haven't even started looking properly or working out the cost.
