Someone has stolen my Beeps ?

Post by inna bongolia » Wed Sep 05, 2007 8:31 pm

 Good evening Bongo people. I have read all the different opinions on the the Bongo beeping syndrome.Personally I am an affecionado of the way Mazdas forewarn you of even the most obvious.
My dilemma is this. My Beeper box is nowhwere to be found. I followed the video tutorial and carried out the necessary search.Nothing.Zilch, Diddly Squat. It's gone folk . Honest. The connector is there but there is nothing to plug it into.

I cannot understand why,if all one has to do is to remove the plug from the said box someone should feel it necessary to remove it totally to silence the beeping :?: Is it merely some form of relay box that has been spirited away or what :?: If so then any ideas as to where I can source a replacement.?

There are a few beeps that I feel are worth been reminded of,lights etc and with the knowledge this site produces it seems a pity that such drastic action had to be taken with my poor old Bongo.Or is it not a standard fitting as I was led to believe?Any comments and advice would be most welcome.

Thanks for your help.

my guess is that a previous owner didn't like the bleeps and only knew to take out the whole box to stop them, Try Bongobits who advertise on this site unless anybody else has any iteas.
p.s. i also like the warning sounds of key in lock, lights on, roof lifting etc.
my wife and daughter hate the noise

Mine doesn't bleep if you leave the lights on and turn the engine off and open a door.
The lights all go off when you switch off the ignition, just like my old Volvo used to do.
So you can't leave the lights on unless you leave the ignition on and the key in.

I didn't realise this until I got in it on Sunday morning (having been out late the Saturday night) and the lights lit up the garage door in front of me. It was only then I realised I had left the lights 'on' the night before.
