AHA!...a stalk!... thats exactly the kind of thing i was enquiring about really...
The flushed controls in the wheel would have been an ideal convenience though..
I see where you are coming from with the fuss of the stalk fitting, i suppose your fingers instinctively "fall" straight onto the control buttons after a while?
The missus reckons i should fit the controls on the passenger side out of my reach, so SHE can set the speed LOWER

( i dunno what she means....

I wanted a stalk or the IR control but they are not available for the cruise control unit that works on the Bongo - the MS-50. I looked at the MS300 but got the impression that it would not work on Bongos.

A stalk is available for the MS-50, but I can't recall the model number. I've just bought a couple of different stalks off ebay, but have yet to see which (if any) work.
I've mounted my controls in some spare switch holes to the left of the steering wheel. I made a blanking plate from one from the CD drive bay on the front of a PC.
This can safely be accessed when driving.

My MK7 Transit has cruise control.
The controls are actually on the steering wheel on the inside perimeter.
The radio controls are on a short flat stalk on the column, LHS, a bit lower down than the lights/computer stalk which is longer.
The wiper/washer controls are on the RHS on a longer stalk matching the lights one.
I find the cruise control brilliant!

Oh Yeah I am sitting here having just taken delivery of my cruise control system, not bad when you think it has come from germany quicker than most British bought deliveries. It looks good too complete with two big product catalogues. Noticed on the invoice what appears to be 19.76 euros @ 19% which must be their vat, now can I claim that back the way people for foreign countries do not have to pay our vat on gift things, I wonder. Next thing now as I have asked before has anyone paid to have theirs fitted and if so, how much. Happy motoring.

Mae ddrug genni, alas and alack David you cannot reclaim VAT on purchases from other €U countries.
Well, you could if you happened to be VAT-registered.
As I am, but I wouldn't want to try it because it might flag up as an unusual transaction and trigger and investigation.
And, believe you me, nobody, but nobody ever wants a VAT investigation!
PS Ctrl + Alt then 4 prints a €

well i have ordered a cruise control, a friend of mine knows an auto electrickery bloke, he said he will give me a price to fit when he sees the product,he needs to see what is involved before commiting himself, (fair enough) he used to work for a busy garage near me that fits all types of electrickery stuff to vehicles.but now works for himself.will let you know what it will cost me.

Hello, new owner, first post.
The 99€ ones still appear to be available from here
http://cgi.ebay.de/WAECO-Magic-Speed-MS ... dZViewItem I'm about to try ordering one.
Just ordered and confirmation back - only downside is the extortionate exchange rate used by paypal
1.37€=£1.00 that's 0.10€ worse than my Nationwide card rate.

LifeSure wanted a letter from a qualified auto electrician on headed paper confirming it was installed correctly. It was not difficult to fit.
