just had another engine fitted in the bongo, got a new rad' too and she is running very well. pulls great, sounds tight etc etc
however the temp needle takes a good while to come up to temp, and seems to react much more to the drive than on the old engine .. ie - on a long downward slope or just bumbing along at 30 the temp drops down quite low .. it comes up again up an incline or faster speed but quickly drops off again - in short its a lot more active than i expected, and running very cool a lot of the time - what i can gather from reading old posts is the needles come up to 11 oclock - and stay there pretty much ... i think its likely there's no thermostat in the engine and thats why its behaving like this. can anyone chip in on this one ? ,, dont really want to bleed the system again if i dont have too

cheers Dave
