he beat me to the answer - but why do they want to know the weight of the vehicle? mine went through a MOT without any questions of weight?

Hi Aitch
I suspect it's something to do with braking efficiency on an unknown model - I had to tell the tester the weight of a kit car I built years ago.

That explaines it then I take mine to a MOT station where one of the mechnics owns a Bongo so no questions for me to answer as he knows the vehicle and the chap who did my mot used to do sva!!! or whatever they are called on imported vehicles. It passed and I just got an advisory notice on the tryes as they are not quite man enough for the job - 96H fitted recomened 100H when I replace them. Next year hopefully as they are lasting well!!!!!

be sure to take it for a good drive before taking it in - high revs and burn out all the s*** so the readings are alright for the emissions - good luck fingers crossed for you.
