Can anyone advise best roof bars rails etc to fit were to get them from and how much

Will, loads of people sell them now. The club shop has them, Bongobits sell some nice stainless steel ones or you can get a mixture of new kits that will fit (cant remember details, try the search it's on here somewhere). There are some on ebay but I didn't like the way the load was spread only through the mounting hole (probably fine just my view).

I've just made a roofrack but prior to that I went to a carboot sale and bought a set of bog standard very shabby Paddy Hopkirk roof bars for £2. They were the type that come with a base plate for 'universal' fitting. I simply drilled a hole in the middle of the baseplate then adjusted the length of the bars to line the holes up with the mounting holes on the roof. 4 bolts later and job done.

For a kayak or similar it'll be fine for anything else you may find the bars too far apart to be of much use (I used them for a surfboard but wanted camping chairs etc up there hence the need for a proper rack).

I've said it before but worth repeating, whatever you decide on make sure you use stainless screws, I didn't on some brackets (see previous posts) and rusty bolts stuck in your Bongo roof is no fun at all.

PS If you want some very shabby ones and live anywhere near Bristol then you can have them. They are sound but not that pretty. :D
