For enough to do an oil change would cost £336 every 3000 miles, it would be cheaper to buy a new engine once a year!

I don't think it's supposed to be used in those sort of quantities! However, this may or may not be snake oil, but if the website can't be consistent: "After initial treatment, can last for up to 24,000 miles!" and "and gives protection for 25,000 miles" then I won't be bothering  Oh, and another thing: "Manufactured solely in the UK under systems assessed to BS5750/IS09002" means nothing. Both these standards (for quality assurance, not for lubricant technology) have been superceded by ISO9002:2000

I understand that this retailer has been awarded IiP status (Investor in Petrol).

(WARNING: only someone with a background in boring back-office administrative and/or HR procedures will undestand this witty comment).)

Simon, it's £12.99 + postage to treat 5L of oil every 25000 miles.
It can be used in the gearbox to.

It might be snake oil - difficult to comment (waits for lamblast from C Lambert :? ) but I was given a bottle of This ZX1 to try. I used some in my bike engine and some in the Bongo. In both instances the engine idle speed picked up as soon as it was applied and run. Something is happening to reduce the friction............... :?

Doh - didn't read it enough to realise it was an additive rather than alternative to oil.

I have used Slick50 on one of my old cars after an engine rebuild & it seemed to make it run happier as a result
