The joy of bongos

Post by DickieP » Sun Aug 12, 2007 8:30 pm

I had the bong for around a month now, and the greatest joy Ive had with it is the constant mysteries it throws up! Today whilst investigating the broken solonoid mentioned elsewhere, I noticed a wire coming out of the drivers seat-looking like a heat seat connection, which i followed to the centre console where it ended at a disconnected plug. Further down the console, I found a disconnected mate for the plug. Plugging it in and running the engine didnt produce a noticeable change in seat temperature, but I didnt give it long, and didnt have time to follow the wire under the dash cos tea was ready. There are also no currently unassigned switches on the dash.

Does anyone else have a heated seat? Every day brings a new adventure to investigate!

Definitely seat-belt warning light.

Probably disconnected because the wire into the seatbelt socket (the red thing) has fractured causing the warning light to indicate permanently.

Very simple to fix.

I'm a moderator for a couple of sections (not techie or chat) - how do I shift a post?

No you cannot - unless you are moderator of that section.

It is a bit more complicated too - there is a sub-menu involved.

Sorry... this wasnt really supposed to be a techie query originally. Anyway, disappointingly, it wasnt the ejector seat, and when I plugged it back in it was just the seat belt warning light, which functions with no problems, so I dont know why it was disconnected in the first place. Cheers.
