failed dash and rear lights

Post by tipi dave » Fri Aug 10, 2007 6:19 pm

Hi,
My dash light and rear lights have failed. I have checked fuse 8 (15 A) in the under bonnet fuse box, and jiggled the connectors under the steering wheel... but alas to no avail.

Being extremely skint at the mo, and due on holiday in a few days time (how do cars know when you are really going to need them working?)it looks like I'm going to have to trace the fault myself...I'm not a numpty with things mechanical, but elastic trickery, particularly the auto variety just aint really my bag... any suggestions for a logical sequence of steps to follow would be greatly appreciated.

Have you gone through the fuses in the box under the steering wheel? There was a recent post with a similar problem, but cant find it.
