panasonic cd wiring probs

i wonder if anyone has had problems fitting one ,purchased proper conector but i still cant get the main facia light to work (( i know it does) any help is appreciated,(again!!) one day i hope i can help one of you loverly loves. N.

I wonder if you have a poor conact on the front facia, I take it is a removable one

has it conected correctly

ive checked the contacts and they seem fine, someone in work suggested it could be a wiring thing,there is sound and you can just see the display but it is very dim.mabe there is a wire that goes to a dimmer switch perchance ?,thank you for the help pete
