Screaming
Any ideas before I take it in??
A high pitch screaming noise from thr front of the Bongo, seems like drivers side when accelerator pressed down. Accompanied by the smeel of rubber burning.
We were hoping to go away in the Bongo tomorrow!!!!!!!

Back in the Vauxhall
Well,
Unfortunately it has turned out to be NOT the air conditioning or alternator belt.
The garage that spent a while with the Bongo have thrown in the towel here and cannot diagnose the problem.
Run out of time to take the Bongo on holiday and the family now need to squeeze back into the little Vauxhall Astra!!!!!!!!!
We will be camping very lightly indeed.... the buggy takes up half the boot space.
Pretty disappointed but there you go.
The screaming noise sounds quite metalic and is generated only when I put my foot on the gas.......... even at low speeds I must add.
OK........ I'll get packing that Astra!

check out front maifold stud
As said in previous reply if you have checked the belts then look at the front exhaust manifold stud . It can be seen with the seat lifted. If it has broken then probably could use van for a little while before stud replaced.
