Creaking sound

Post by AndAndDen » Tue Jul 24, 2007 8:49 pm

When setting off and slowing down i get a creaking sound. This sound occurs driving around locally. On smooth runs the creaking sound disappears :? .It is between the middle and the end of passenger side. :? Doubt very much if it's the brakes because it occurs with or without the brakes.

Does it sound like it comes from the front suspension? Could be a creaky bottom ball joint. Try and replicate it by bouncing on the suspension.

By the way on looking at your avatar and your location were you at Marine Hall, Fleetwood on Saturday?

AndandDen,
Is it the rubber seals squeaking on the hatch under the passenger seat, just unhinge it and make sure its down properly with all 3 fasteners.
