Depending on budget, Mark at Manchester Campers or Ian Taylor at Cheddleton, Staffs are both seasoned / committed and good value Bongo vendors from what most people say. Mark does quality conversions, and prices are dearer, Ian imports and tends to sell 'straight' Bongos I think. here is alos one in Derbyshire that does a lot (Hillside Motors I think) and puts them on ebay from time to time - v good prices. I also came across a lady who sells them quietly from a farm near Derby and who sounded very nice. One or two other BF members have bought from her and say she's good. I'd have to try and dig up her number. Her prices were very good indeed but the Bongos are 'as imported' I think so its emptor caveat.

if you could line this lot up and make an inspection tour of a selection of likely ones, you might get a result? throw in one or two private ones on the way too maybe? It'd be a great adventure - The Big Bongo Hunt

that sounds good (I'd travel the country for weeks but that means leaving the command module with the kids 1 and 3 (not idea travelling age) and I cn see her going for that!). Can you did up the number for the Derbyshire lady, and I'll give her a call, anyone link me up with a derby bongoer or bongo friendly garage to do a service/coolant change before the journey home???
thanks for the help.

Ian Taylor would certainly be able to do all - to your specification - on a vehicle bought from him. He's a nice chap, knows his stuff. Why not call him and have a chat.

I'll see if I still have the Derbyshire ladies phone number somewhere when I get home, then PM you.

Mick is giving the best advice, if you can get a Bongo owner to go with and drive it so much the better!
