Triangular Icky Centre of Windscreen Console ?

Post by inna bongolia » Tue Jul 17, 2007 6:44 pm

Hello People

Brand spanking new my wife & I ( Lucy ) Bought the the Bongo 12th 0f last month and have been lurking ever since. We are slightly more than silver surfers but sprightly enough to still appreciate whatever the future may hold for us.

Must first say how impressed I am with the knowledge that is passed around and shared on this web site. When you take into consideration the fact that we dont have the luxury of Haynes manuals etc a site like this is a godsend.

First query is simple:- At the very centre of the windscreen and between the vents is a triangular fitting which houses what looks like a block of either silica gel or similar? It is obviously by design as there are location slots for it.It has me bamboozled. Anyone know its purpose?

Looking forward to returning to the world of feeling involved.

Many apologies to you all. In response to a query of " Any Photos " I took my camera and tackled said object centre of my windscreen. I removed it from its location to show it in all its glory and what do you know ? Its some sort of smelly that had been stuck down over the plastic removable portion of the console. This time it was pretty obvious as to the fact it was not designed. My apologies good people. I will now retreat and lurk until more experienced.
