Going to France I'll need to reed kmh on the speedo. Is there a way of reverting the device for the duration? It had been done when I got the van so no idea how to change it.

Hi, has your speedo got an MPH face on it, if so you will need to change the face , if not it will have been chipped. Hope this helps. :)
If I had all the money I ever spent on my Freda ............ I`d spend it on my Freda.

use a calculator and some sticky stars,

divide various mph by .614 and that should give you a close enough calculation to k/ph

mph........k/ph

30..........38

50..........82

60..........98

80...........130

write the K/ph on the sticky stars and stick the K/ph stickers next to the mph speed.

the above is not exact but close enough to be in the legal limit.

Thanks for the reply. No, it has a kmh face with a black marker pen blob over the 'k' so must have been chipped. The needle has never reached vertical and there is a great chunk of speed the other side waiting to be used. My concern is having to mentally convert mph to kmh as I drive - simple I know: 40 = 60; 60 = 100 etc. but if I could get inside the housing and place three red markers to represent the main limits it would help. I've also got a GPS unit with kmh.
