Head gsaket gone.

Spotted a very nice Bongo today, at a camping shop in Dorset. Went over to say hello as we've only had our Bongo for just over a week. Very friendly couple tell us that they have only had their Bongo two weeks and that they have broken down. Turns out the AA man has just told them the head gasket's gone, and they are waiting for a relay home. We give our commiserations, wish them a safe journey home, a quick repair, and tell them about Bongo Fury. Has started me thinking though! Is this a common ploblem, is it normally the gasket at fault and how much do repairs cost? Glad to say our Bongo (Arvee) is going splendidly, and we are having fun!

A quick scroll through 'techie stuff' may give you an answer. Although it is a minority problem, it is a known issue.
