From second battery to leisure battery?

Post by Ricardo » Mon Jul 09, 2007 2:02 pm

Hi folks. My first post here! Sorry if you have covered this before. My Bongo has arrived from Japan with two batteries in it. One is apparently for cold starts etc in cooler climbs to Kent and they are connected in parallel which I can just about remember from school means they will both run down at an equal rate. Can any of you experienced Bongo people tell me if there is a relatively simple way of wiring it so one acts as a leisure battery independent of the other apart from recharging of course.?

Hi Ricardo.

Masses of information on this subject already on the forum.

Do a SEARCH (button at top of page, but read FAQs first) for leisure battery, to reveal more information than you ever need on the subject!

If you join the BongoFury Owners' Club you will find dedicated fact-sheets on this topic and many others. Plus loadsa other benefits.

Enjoy!

Hi Ricardo

Welcome to the forum

The search takes some getting used to and the most helpful threads aren't always the easiest to find

Try these two from corblimey, he's a bit of a star

Fitting a LB

Patching the fusebox
