By law you must have a speedometer that reads in mph.

The odometer can read in rods, poles or perches, nautical miles, fathoms or chains - or even kilometres!

I reckon your speedo has actually been chipped and that is the problem - faulty chip or poor connections behind the speedo.

Do you actually drive to the speed indicated on the speedo in kmh?

3 screws ?? there should be 4 holding the speedo in place
12 in total

4 holding on the trim
4 holding the complete speedo unit
4 holding the actual speedo in the unit

Sorry -four screws holding the speedo in place as in the pic . Worked a treat and cost me nowt!
