Electric Spray Gun

Post by AndAndDen » Fri Jul 06, 2007 9:58 pm

Bought this Electric Spray Gun from Screwfix.com 240v. 80w Was £12.99p now £9.99p.Best tool i have found for The underbody Waxoil. The only downside you can't get into the Chassis. Apart from that it is ideal for the job. I put the 5Ltr tin of Waxoil in boiling water first and it works a treat. :D

Did it make a mess on your drive - road - track - or wherever you had the van parked?

I need to do this job but am put off by the potential mess.

Thanks for the tip AndAndDen I've got mine to do soon so this look like a good way to start. Any advice how to get into the chassis?

Its wax so the boiling water would melt it and help to clean the nozle

I was thinking oil/water not oil/water/temp, I shall slap myself now with the nearest dead fish.

chassis

Post by AndAndDen » Sun Jul 08, 2007 8:48 pm

Hi neil, i'me still looking into how to spray the inside of the chassis . :? I was speaking to bigdaddycain, he's got one of those high pressure pump action guns, i'me still waiting for bigdaddycain to use his (hint hint) to see if he gets a result. They have them in Halfords at the moment £28, so if big daddy gets a result i will be going down that road .The only other way is to buy a decent compressure or hire one (not worth it) is there anybody out there got any ideas? cos this is doing my head in. :x .Andy

Hi Andy, the gun that is with my waxoil kit is a mechanical/vacuum type one... i have no idea if its "man" enough to reach all the nooks and crannies inside the chassis or not...

In fact, i have just had my bongo waxoiled at Wheelquick, so the kit is still untouched,so if you fancy making me an offer for it at the next meet.... I think i paid about £20 for it...

Bigdaddy ( Steve ) sounds like the one i was looking at in Halfords. Its also in kit form ( high pressure manual pump action ).Thankyou for the offer of yours but i think i will give yours a miss . Going to look for a garage that can waxoil the chassis and nooks and crannys  . The spray gun i suggested previously i can use for the rest of the jobs. Andy
