Bongo Sliding Door is Now Open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by tunoid » Sat Jun 30, 2007 11:35 am

HOOOOOORRRRAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!

I have opened the door!!!!!!!

Many many big thank yous to everyone that offered some very useful advise.

A stick was in deed needed to push right down to the bottom mechanics. Whilst I was prodding around my stick slipped and clouted a bit of mechanism that gave a lovely click sound. The sort of sound and kertwang that suggested something releasing!!!!!

I paused for a moment with my hand hovering over the door handle and then went for the big one......... it pulled open!!!!!!!! I leapt out of the open door and punched the air...... then collected myself as I do have neighbours and went for the next big one...... closing the door.

YES!!!!! The Bongo door purr returned. After a few test goes I thought I had better get onto thwe forum and announce my success.

I also disconnected the battery before closing the door as everyone has been advising. Spraying the insides with a lubricator type thing is a good idea too. Pity I had put the door back together before reading that.

Well folks, if I can get a jammed Bongo door to open then anyone can!!!!

Thanks again all those that took trouble to write.

Tunoid.
