Re: Window tints
... off a roll.
The back window is tricky due to double curve, but factory tints can be had from breakers.
Breakers are not too keen to break up factory tint sets. They are more likely to offer single windows if clear or film tinted already.

Re: Tinted Rear Window - can you see parking mirror?
Our 2001/2 van has factory tints. To be honest, I'd not even noticed the tint had an effect when reversing, and I do use the mirror.
If you're going ... level tint, I wouldn't worry about it, you'll be fine I suspect.
On vans with factory tints, is the rear window any less tinted than the side windows?

Re: Windscreen tint advice
... windscreen looks ace. I tried a yellow sweet wrapper behind the side windows and they looked a little green hence reasoning these are blue - there was no noticable change to the colour of the wrapper when held behind the windscreen hence my assumption it's plain. I quite fancy a blue tint to match ...

Re: Tinted windows advice Please
It really depends on the main body colour, I (personally) don't think mirrored windows really suit black bodywork and black windows can look strange on white or silver bodywork.
So you really need to decide what tint suits your body colour best - and that is down to your own personal taste.

Ah nice one BB! Looks like that's 'Automotive Window Tinting', he seems to have a good rep. I'll give him a call. Think you've noticed your car being ... importantly & no idea why but my daughter doesn't get travel sick with tinted windows?!?!?!?!!! I always go limo black.

Re: Factory Black Glass vs Window Tints
... blockage between the two. You can often pick up a second hand set of 4 tinted side windows for about £100, but that still leaves the rear to deal with which is bonded to the tailgate. The factory tint is very dark, so much that on our last Bongo, we'd often be sat inside having a cup of tea with ...

Remove rear side windows for tinting
Hi,
can anyone tell me the easiest way to remove the rear side windows ? I am planning to tint them with film, and thought it is best to do it with the windows removed.
I am not going to do the tailgate window as I have read it is very difficult, so I just want to remove the 2 windows in the back on ...

Was the tint applied by a local garage or is it a specialist job?
