Re: Blown fuse mystery

I don't know which fuse... but if you have a multi meter check the continuity of each fuse. And pull the radio back out and make sure you haven't pinched a cable.

Re: bubble

Was upon shutting off the engine... I say a whistle... was more like when letting air escape from a carbonated bottle.. only ever so slightly. Wouldn't have heard it in the cab... I just popped the front open when I stopped at Home. Was for about 5 seconds.

Drove for about 2 hours on Sunday and ...

bubble

Went for a short drive earlier... when I stopped I heard a bubble, popped the lid and it was coming from expansion tank. It Was a small whistle for a few seconds...

Is it a faulty cap or worse? ?

I Had done 20 miles in the morning prior before this trip... so engine was still warm.

Cheers

This bracket i had to angle grind one of the studs to get the 2nd section off.... at the time i didnt realise it was welded on. I might be able to drill out the stud, or ...

Maybe ill just get the rear two sections then! First section was quite rusty though!

replacing exhaust

My 3rd and 4th section has rusted off... so I am going to replace all 4 sections. No point buying the last two for 90 when I can replace whole lot for 125.

Is there anything else I could do whilst I am under there?

Re: Overheat

Top hose seemed lovely and squiggy to me, was quite easy to squeeze it and see the coolant rise and fall in the expansion tank. Ill have to just keep a good eye on it untill I can afford to buy a new lot of coolant and have the time to drain the rad and find any underlying problems.

Seems to be ...

Re: Overheat

When I filled it all up it seemed to flow ok... I should really take the rad out and give it a try. Could clear the big pipes a bit better as well.

Say I did have a cracked head.... would white sludge show just by checking the dip stick and oil fill point? Or would I have to take something apart ...

Re: Not starting again

glow plug relay? I assume you checked to make sure glow plugs heated up whilst you had the rail out?

Had a similar problem myself not so long ago! Not so sure about white smoke though!
