Re: Electric hook up in France

Thanks for the replies.

I ordered an adapter off Amazon to be on the safe side - and a mains tester
We are staying at some large modern sites so there shouldn't be an issue.

Electric hook up in France

In the UK we have been using one of these since we got our Bongo 2 years ago -

We are going to France soon and it will be the first time I will have used electric hook-ups abroad.

I seem to ...

Re: How to lock tailgate if no central locking

Thanks for the replies.

The custom trim was covering the key lock on the tailgate but the 'opening handle' was clear. There is no way for us to lock the tailgate other than with the central locking.

I just spent an hour fixing the wires in the loom on the drivers door hinge. I've had the Bongo for ...

How to lock tailgate if no central locking

My OH just called (she's away with the kids in the Bongo).
The central locking has stopped working (or is very intermittent).

She cannot work out how to lock the tailgate. We have a bodykit so any external lock is covered.

Is there any way of locking the tailgate manually from the inside ?

Re: Cubbyhole size anyone?

dvisor beat me to it :D

I'll just add that 1cm up from the bottom the width has increased to 18.5cm
and remember the height decreases as you go back - it was 11cm high 4cm into the cubby.
I guess you would mount the screen nearer to the front though.

If the external dimension of the one you are ...

Re: cley next to sea ?

If you like wildlife/birding, walking or photography then it's a great place to visit.

We are regular visitors to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust centre and reserve -

The centre is interesting and has a pretty good restaurant. The reserve has great ...

Halloween Party at Clippesby Hall (Norfolk Broads)

I haven't yet been to a Bongo Meet or Bash (only had the Bongo a couple of months) so this is more of a heads up of an event that may be of interest.

We have stayed at Clippesby Hall twice already - it's a great site, spacious, clean, with a real-ale pub and a good coffee shop.

Re: Corner Guide??

I don't have one but my understanding is that the corner guide is a short vertical rod attached to the front nearside bumper. It is used by the driver to judge where the corner of the van is.

I guess the switch turns a light on so you can see the front corner at night :)

Re: Wanted - suggestions for a beach site in South Wales

Thanks both !

That site ticks all the boxes.
Seems like a perfect location and with the facilities we need.
Found lots of OK sites by Googl'ing but that one looks to be the best by far !

Wanted - suggestions for a beach site in South Wales

We are Bongo'ing in Gloucestershire next weekend and plan to move on to South Wales for 3 or 4 nights.

Anyone recommend a nice clean, kid friendly site within walking distance to a beach ?

Re: Dashboard Pimp

Wow !

Did you see they use those LED lamps from LIDL's (one behind each seat) that were recommended on BongoFury recently ? :D

And the light on the rear ceiling looks pretty much like a MkII version of the one in my Bongo.

Not sure which site you are querying ?

I stayed here once - http://www.camping-jungfrau.com/en/camping/sommer/default.asp

It was a few years ago when I had a car and tent.
The facilities were great and the scenery absolutely stunning.
My only gripe was that everyone was packed in like sardines ...

Re: none starter

If you have a double battery setup with a button by your right knee with an engine symbol on it chances are you can't do the contacts

Mine is a double starter battery and I have a switch with an engine symbol by my right knee.

Can you please explain what it does and when/how to use it ?
