Re: f1 silverstone

How did all the Bongos fare in the mud? OK I guess.[/quote]

I had a fully loaded V6 with 18" alloys and parked up in Woodlands on Thursday morning in saturated grass. By Saturday the ground was a mud bath and the Bongo had sunk 3 inches into the ground. I thought I was never going to get out, but ...

Re: f1 silverstone

Just sent pm with mobile number,
thanks for that.
I don't know if you went last year, but try not to go near the bottom of the roads, because it got very muddy down there.
We were at the top end and it was good hard ground.
A bit of rain could make a good fun race though :D

Re: f1 silverstone

We turned up Thursday 1pm last year and drove straight in, no probs.
I am a bit concerned about this emergency wet plan, as I am going in my bongo and my brother and friend are driving behind me with a tent. Does this mean I could end up sitting in a field on my own, while they are a mile away in ...

Re: AFT Roof won't go up. Need a good Bongo techie in South

I would give Bell Hill a ring at Norton St. Philip near Bath. I have used bongo specialist closer to me, but Bell Hill always sort out my problems that others can't. They are not the cheapest for parts, but seem to stock everything for every type of bongo, so get the job done hassle free.
I am sure ...

Re: a smell of gas but outside the van? wierd

Could be a few things. First I would try a better quality fuel and give the engine a good blasting. Check the battery/batteries as if they are on the way out, can give off sulphur fumes. Lastly could be the catalytic converter on the way out or just needs an italian tune up to burn off excess sulphur.

Re: f1 silverstone

I sat in most of the grandstands last year and thought Club was the best, so booked the same seats this year, but I am defo going to becketts this year for the qualifying, as the speed through there is pretty amazing to watch.

Re: f1 silverstone

We messed up with the roving grandstand tickets last year for qualifying. We tried to get into the Int Straight grandstand about 1/2 before the start and all seats were full, so ended up watching it on TV at the vodafone stand :( .
They were selling upgrades to Grandstands for the Saturday to people ...

Re: f1 silverstone

We are at Club Corner at the beginning of international straight. We sat in the same seats last year and it was a great view coming out of Vale and also of podium.
Lets hope the weather is a bit better this year. I think last year it rained at the beginning of every practice and quali.

I am going to give Silverstone a ring in the morning again.
I don't want to be turning up and then have a problem with the campsite

Re: f1 silverstone

We are planning on getting there for about 11am Thursday.
Has anybody received a camping pass for their vehicle this year for woodlands?
I had one last year, but did not get one this time with the camping tickets. When I phoned silverstone the girl on phone wasn't sure, so asked someone else and ...

I am going Thursday in a Flowery Hippy White/Silver V6 at woodlands.
Luke, I wouldn't plan on leaving Sunday, you gotta stay for the celebrations of a Button and Hamilton 1,2 :D :D .
I hope they empty the toilets a bit more often this year or I am going to dig a hole

Re: water gone from header but no leaks.

I had a similar problem recently.
Being paranoid about losing coolant, I often check the header tank even though I have a low coolant alarm.
One day the header tank was nearly empty so topped up about 1 litre and started up went for a drive but no loss of coolant.
I used it for a few long trips and ...

Re: Running a fridge off the leisure - how long will it last

Good tip someone on here said is to fill up the ice compartment with some ice packs. Certainly seems to last a lot longer.
Also if you have ehu connect it to mains and put everything you need in fridge a couple of hours before you set off.
I get up to 4 days of cold beers on a 100amp LB. :D
