Re: TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT

Interestingly - Tony's service schedule only says 100000km and doesn't mention the 5yrs/60 months recommendation.
But I think I'll err on the side of caution.

Re: TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT

Thanks Daz - but does it go with time or wear ? - like I said - I'm relatively low mileage but it's due if it's a 5 yearly thing.

TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT

Hi all - be gentle with me as this technical stuff is all a bit of a mystery to me.
I'm led to believe that my Freda would like her timing belt changed either every 100 000km or every five years, whichever's soonest.
Well I've only clocked 23 000 km or so in the 3 years I've had her and she's still ...

oil change or not?

Hi All,
Amongst the advice on running costs for a Bongo on the 'Buying a Bongo' part of the site we're told we need to do an oil change at 3000 miles and a filter change at 6000, which I've duly done since buying my lovely Freda.
Dumb question I'm sure - but what happens if I don't? I'm not ...

Re: smoke and clatter on start up

Hi Missfixit - thanks for your excellent advice on my Aircon actuator(?!) the other week - the photo was very useful.
Do you reckon this is probably just a glowplug issue then rather than anything else I should be concerned about?

smoke and clatter on start up

Hello to all from sunny Somerset. I'm looking for some advice.
I've had my P reg Freda since early Nov. On each of the two occasions when the vehicle was back with the dealer for (minor) warranty niggles a glow plug was changed to address the problem of excessive noise and smoke on a cold start - it ...

Air-con Issues

Hi All, be gentle with me - it's my first time here.
I seem to have a problem with my air-con. I can't get any air into the vehicle, whatever mode setting I choose and, if the air-con is off, the vents are not allowing fresh air to flow through. It was all working fine last weekend but seems to have ...
