this is the later fuel pump model.it has a bad habit of putting on the flashing glow plug light, which is indicating a fault somewhere. the usual suspect is the throttle position sensor,.

this could all be related to battery supply/voltage etc. the fuel shut off needs a supply voltage also, to ...

I'M PRETTY SURE NOT BATTERY BECAUSE I PUT A TESTER & JUMP START AND ENGINE TURNS OVER NO SIGN OF WHITE SMOKE OR DIESEL GETTING TO INJECTORS.

Hellooo, thank you all so much for all our help and tips, greatly appreciated. We managed to borrow another glow plug rail from a fellow bongonaught and hurrrray!!!!!! it works fine. So first thing tomorrow we will be ordering a new part.

We have no voltage to the glow plug rail. Glow plug relay tested ok. Please could you help on how we go about solving problem.

p.s Thanks Bob, good to know not just us - somehow we are going to try and manouvre car round tomorrow will be tight hse wall one side and bank the other ...

Why are you sure it's not glow plugs? Check they're getting voltage when ignition is turned, could be the relay (o/s inner wing behind battery) or fusible link gone. Is the fuel shut off solenoid on the fuel pump opening ok?
Is fuel getting through? could be the pick up is blocked or drawing in ...

I'm pretty sure not glow plugs any ideas? Bongo is blocking my wife's car in on drive, so no car at all!!!!! It turns but does not start.
