Re: Alloys

I've decided to pimp mine up and have just bought a bonnet bra and a set of RX8 alloys and they have transformed the look of my wagon.

P.S. I've now got a set of 15 inch alloys with 2 very good tyres and 2 just about legal for sale

Re: Help please - Aircon suddenly stopped working

No, the fans cut out on manual setting too. I don't think it could be the sensor because all the fan indicator bars are illuminated indicating that the control system "believes" that the fans are on.

Re: Help please - Aircon suddenly stopped working

I have a slightly different air con problem.

When I switch the climate control to auto the fans come on fine, the a/c pump works and plenty of cold air is blown out but after only two minutes the fans just stop but all the bars are still lit up on the display to indicate that the fans should be on ...

Re: M.O.T and reversed rear seats.

Thanks for that, should I remove the seat belt mechanism? Some testers gave the mentality of if they are fitted then they must be shown to work.

M.O.T and reversed rear seats.

It's coming up for MOT time and I am concerned that because my rear seat are reversed it may fail because the tester won't be able to check out the seat belts. Does anyone know the score on this?

Re: Heated rear window not working

Thanks for that, I had wondered if it may have been a 30amp so I had already swapped the 2 big pink fuses about but it didn't cure the fault, how do you know if one those has blown and are they readily available?

Any other ideas would be gratefully received.

Heated rear window not working

In the recent snow I reluctantly let the missus use the Bongo (the 4WD has been great) to get to a hospital appointment, when she returned the heated rear window had stopped working. The symptoms are that the h/r/w lights on both the climate control and dashboard aren't illuminated so my first port ...

Re: Tools for Bull bars

Having just fitted my bull bar on Sunday it's still very fresh in my mind. You will need a 14mm socket, short extension and ratchet plus a 12mm ring spanner and philips screwdriver. It's also much better to use "copper ease" or any other copper based grease rather than WD40 for re-cutting threads ...

Re: Wiring in front spotlights

I do have front fogs fitted and there are two switches, one puts the front fogs on, the other seems to isolate the fronts from the rear fog. The cable colours from the loom that I think are for the spots are 1)red/green and 2)black.

What I need to know without having to start from scratch are these ...

Wiring in front spotlights

I have just bought a 2nd hand bull bar complete with brackets and spotlights from 3,2,1 Away at a very reasonable price (he has more for sale if anybody is interested).

Everything fits perfectly too!

The only problem I have is with wiring in the spots, there are some spare wires coming from the ...

Re: High temp running when towing

I towed my six wheeled box trailer (with racing car, spares, tools, generator, spare wheels etc...) probably weighing almost 2 tonnes on a 260 mile round trip to Wales a couple of weeks ago and the temp guage read normal for the whole journey.

The £160 worth of diesel hurt though!

Re: Wiring Front 12v Socket to Stay On

I have just fitted a leisure battery and a VSR by following the excellent instructable written by corblimey which I found from a link on the website. This now leaves me with what to do next about connecting the accessories to the leisure battery.

My plan is to run a fused (25amp) live wire from the ...
