Not an uncommon repair in restoration stuff. Thames 15cwt and early Sherpa's, yes people restore Sherpa's! It is fairly common. It always comes down to economics in the end.
To carry out a "proper" repair to a complicated area such as this is would require the local roof skin panel to be removed ...

there are several different models, some are fixed height, some retract when not in use. a pic may help. a breaker may be the only hope like bongospares2012, or the one simon jones uses down near salisbury.

Hi Please be aware that you must have properly "E" marked DRLs if you intend to use them as such in any country requiring them. I believe in some countries require that they should have a fitting certificate of compliance if used as DRLs. The proper DRLs are extraordinarily bright in comparison ...
I should bw fitting some this week, so i'll keep you posted. I don't have fogs, so i have bought some universal ones wirh an angel eye DRL. As mentioned, the loom thingy is also needed, but they are cheap, ao hopefully should be an easy fit.

As young Bob says. easy enough but a tight spot to work in. The loom between the drivers door & body forms a V. Over the years the wires in the loom can break where it bends in the bottom where the loom straps to the door hinge?. Another place hazard to spot is where the loom goes into the body ...
Another idea for material to use to make the panel is a spare table back from a middle bench seat. That way you can use matching plastic. Not my idea but one I remember seeing somewhere, probably on here somewhere.
