Re: Leisure Battery Not Charging from Engine
This happened to me too - and it was the fuse. Frustratingly I only worked this out after driving around Europe for 4 weeks drinking warm beer due to no working fridge!

Re: Stainless steel exhaust- will it disable 'winter pack' valve
No problem if the valve is removed....not required.....there are a couple of vacuum pipes run to the valve to operate it....just dissconnect them and "bung" the ends with a bolt or something
Excellent - but is the valve in the exhaust pipe so therefore will be removed automatically when the old ...

Stainless steel exhaust- will it disable 'winter pack' valve
My 'winter pack' cold start valve recently got stuck shut. I managed to force it open thanks to some great advice on this forum =D> but I'm a bit worried it'll happen again if the switch is accidently hit for any reason. My exhaust is also in a bad way (rust) so I've made a decision to get a full ...

Winter Pack Valve Stuck On - Help!
Hi all,
I stupidly 'tested' the winter pack valve - now it's stuck on! Running like a bag of spanners and averaging 16mpg
I need to know how to turn it off / disable it - but I'm clueless. The switch now doesn't work.
Any advice would be very gratefully recieved.
Thanks

Re: Squealing when cold and damp at start up
Thanks guys, I'll try a squirt of WD40 later today. Hopefully it isn't the manifold stud but if it is any ideas about cost??
I read somewhere else about talcum powder doing a better job on slipping belts. What do you reckon? I've got some nice Chanel No. 5 talc that would make her smell lovely!

Squealing when cold and damp at start up
I wonder if anyone could help me out?
My 1997 Diesel Bongo has developed a quietish squeal that sounds like a slipping fan belt when the engine has just been started. The squeal gets louder when the engine is revved but dissapears altogether after the engine has warmed up. It seems to be much worse ...

Re: Turbo 'whoosh'
Ok thanks, I'm going to listen out for it next time I'm driving the Bongo. I guess it's a bit more subtle than the boy-racer's p-tchsssssssssssssss!!!!!!! that I often hear (as they're trying to run me over)...

Re: Turbo 'whoosh'
Mine is the standard 2.5td and I'm pretty sure that it doesn't 'whoosh'. Should it? It seems to accelerate pretty fast and has reached 95mph before (on a private track of course
). Is a lack of 'whoosh' an issue I should be investigating??
