Hi,
The air filter was checked and blown-through a couple of months ago.
I still have a gut-feeling that it is the way I drive. On mostly B roads, I rarely go above 2,000 rpm (other than pulling away), and the Bongo usually pops into top gear most of the time so bumbles along at 1,500 or so for a ...

Re: Clogged-up running?!
Thanks for the replies.
I've not noticed the winter switch as described and I like to think that I know what all the switches on the dash do, but you know how it is, its probably there and I've missed it! I don't think so though.
I don't think the egr valve has already been done. Maybe that then ...

Clogged-up running?!
Hi,
I've always been impressed with the power and acceleration of my Bongo. Often out-pulling other cars who deliberately go into the 2nd lane at traffic lights so as not to be stuck behind the "camper van"!
However, a while ago I noticed that the performance was getting worse and worse. To the ...

Re: A noise when braking!
Hi,
I had a similar problem. A clunk when breaking for the first time.
Mechanic took the pads out, cleaned everything up and re-seated the pads. Nothing seemed loose, and we couldn't re-create the problem with the wheel off.
All OK again now - worth having a look though.
Since then I have had ...

Auto Aircon Backlight Puzzle!
Not urgent, just a puzzle to me!
With the automatic aircon, there are a set of buttons along the bottom of the display. They control the fan speed, aircon on/econ/off, mode and rear control/display.
My puzzle is this... At night, with the side lights on, the buttons (and the rear screen heater ...

Delay action bulb!
Hi Folks,
Long time since I've bee here!
Slightly different light story here. The light in the roof of my Bongo had never worked. Over the Christmas holiday (whilst recovering from the food mountains), I started to fiddle with the cover thinking about replacing the bulb. Couldn't easily get the ...

Over-keen radiator fan!
Hi,
The radiator fan on my 2000 Bongo comes on and off (as expected), but more or less as soon as I start the engine (not as expected!) which is at the time very cold! (first time I noticed it was after being parked up on site for 2 nights).
Is this normal? I would expect the fan would come on ...

Side winds
It will be quite interesting to see how the Bongo handles.
My last 2 vehicles have been a Smart car, and a Suzuki Carry van. Now both of them do suffer from side winds! Even to the point of being prepared as each gap in the hedge appears - I'm sure the bikers amongst us know the feeling.
