Re: 2 DIN Drama :-(

It's a good news story...the suggested adapter did the job, new 2 DIN device (Cheap) fitted and working!

Wish I'd invested a little more in a stereo, these cheap android ones have basic functions but they are crummy haha

Thanks for the guidance.

Re: 2 DIN Drama :-(

I think this is how you described it isn't? So does the adapter that I'll buy plug straight into where the wires currently are, or does that white adapter come apart?

So sorry for the basic questions :-(

Thanks again for your guidance.

Re: 2 DIN Drama :-(

Thank you so much for replying... When looking into the chasm, there is definitely a loom wrapped in foam, but I couldn't work out what was inside the foam wrapping and didnt have the confidence to unwrap it...I'll to that later. It's a 2004 Bongo, so I should be able to recognise what I'm looking a...

2 DIN Drama :-(

Hi All, I have a dilemma which I hope someone can advise on... I've had my Bongo a couple of months and now 'need' to replace the Japanese 2 DIN stereo whcih is in there. Menus are all Japanese and the HDD has Japanese MP3 music on it...nice but not really my musical bag. The CD and memrory stick do...

Re: Are interior door handles standard across the models

Not sure if this helps anyone, but by accident (well, by Google) it seems that the same interior door handles were fitted to the Mazda 323 Protege in teh late 90's early 00;s, which are all over eBay for about £5 each new from China, or £7ish from a UK seller.

Hope this helps,

Neil

Are interior door handles standard across the models

Hi all,

I've snapped the interior opening door lever...mine are the chrome ones (2005 model) but I'm not bothered about a used non-chrome one, which is way cheaper.
Are they all the same across the various models...if so, I'll pick up a basic one.

Thanks,
Neil

Re: Waste Water from the Sill

Hi Bob, By way of an update, we had the Bongo up on a lift and managed to fix the issue! As you had suggested, the waste pipe had come loose and managed to work its way up into the sill. A bit of 'fishing' with some surgery pliers (!) and we managed to pull it back into place and fix it there. Than...

Waste water line on a JAL conversion.

Hi, Still finding my way around my Bongo, it's a fairly recent JAL conversion, which I'm very happy with. I'm stuck with the waste water outlet...I can see that there is a hose coming from the sink, then dropping below the floor, but have no idea where it exits the van. I'm tempted to pour some wate...

You might let us know how you get on with the stereo - I'm thinking of replacing what's in mine but don't want to spend much!
Will definitely keep you udpated, should be doing it over the next week or so...finders crossed.

Re: Removing electronic devices left in my Bongo

They are easy enough to remove Neil and won't cause any problems if you do, I have removed them for people before when fitting stereos 🚐 Hi! Thnk you very much for that reassurance, I think i'll trace where each of the cables go and see if I can work it out. Grateful for your help...will let you kn...

Re: Removing electronic devices left in my Bongo

Hi Neil, Congrats on the new bongo and welcome to the forum :D Mine didn't come with those items fitted, could you post a link to a photo of the electronic things on your dash? I'm curious if they were factory fitted, I think the newer ones came with a parking sensor display but I'm not sure about ...

Removing electronic devices left in my Bongo

Hi all, As of today I own my first ever Bongo... thrilled and excited!! ...but, it has ba couple of clunky, unwanted electronic devices on the dash/fascia which I don't need. One is a toll road device, the other is GPS camera checking device I think. What are my options for removing them, or is it b...
