Windscreen Rubber
Evening all.
I've got what I am hoping is surface rust around the windscreen of the bongo behind the rubber seal so I'm going to take the windscreen out, repair it and have it re-bonded in. However while I'm re-fitting I want to replace the old rubber seal. Does anyone know the actual name for this ...

Do you happen to remember the part number/ description.Bongolia wrote: Thu Jul 16, 2020 11:01 pm https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/
Hardest part is fitting it to the rear as space is really tight.
I need to replace mine as its cracked and a lovely shade of green moss!

New Rear Arches Time!
When I got my bongo one of the first things I noticed was the plastic trim covering the rear arches. It has a few spots of surface rust here and there so I knew the trims most likely covered the same.
Well a few weeks ago I took them off to see and little did I know its more than a little surface ...

Re: Another Overheating Bongo
Back on it this morning, bled it again after replacing the expansion tank and it overheated again within a mile. Thankfully didn't boil over though.
Think it's time to take it to the garage tomorrow

Thanks I'll get back on it tomorrow.
Would the bubbling out of the expansion tank mean there is still air trapped?

Re: Another Overheating Bongo
So, a slight update.
I found that the coolant expansion tank had a slight crack in underneath so fitted a new one today. Bled and bled and bled. Bottom hose hot, all other hoses hot, heaters hot.
I hooked up the snip test and the chemical stayed blue, but then suddenly coolant came up and out of ...

Thanks I'll have a look
Do you mean pressure the head by a leakdown and check for bubbles from the radiator or pressure test the coolant system. If so, how?

Re: Another Overheating Bongo
Thanks for the reply. That was a thought but didn't want to think it. Is there any easy way to check without a strip down?
Is it worth giving it one last bleed or am I just wasting coolant?

Another Overheating Bongo
I hate to post another thread on Overheating but I've tried the forum and YouTube videos recommendations without success. (Diesel Bongo)

Re: Windscreen Leak. Bonded in?
That was my thought but it was the previous owner and he doesn't remember who did it sadly.
I've got someone coming out tomorrow to have a look regarding taking it out and bonding it back in

Windscreen Leak. Bonded in?
Recently after purchase (96 2.5D 2WD) I've noticed wet patches on the headlining by the a pillar on the passengers side and a bit on the driver's side. After looking a bit further, this looks to be from around the windscreen area. Ive had a look behind the headliner on the passengers side and this ...

Already Converted to 2WD?
I picked up a 96 2.5D Bongo today which the previous owner said had been converted to 2WD from 4WD by the previous owner. Is there anyway from looking underneath that I can tell this is the case and whats needed to change it back. Or alternatively, any way to check it has always been a 2WD and just ...
