Re: front heater fan inoperative

Finally got round to having another look at this issue. sadly you have to take the battery out to get to the relay. when I unbolted it from the inner wing I found the main live was not connected due to corrosion on the terminal. Have done a repair using some single core house lighting cable and a ...

Re: front heater fan inoperative

ok not going to pretend that I fully understand the diagram.
have worked out that G1 - 04 is the motor
G1 - 05 is the thermo switch
G1 06 is the fan switch
don't know what G1 - 03 is?
to me the diagram suggested that the power is going from fuse to G1-03 then to the motor which cant be right ...

Re: front heater fan inoperative

Hi Geoff
I have removed a component that looks like your photo and is the 5 pin. Not it says "do not try to repair" on it!
I take it you have broken the sides off the one in the picture so you can get to the pins? do you know if you can get a replacement and if so how much?
Thanks again

Re: front heater fan inoperative

Hi Geoff
Mine has the slide control. I did have a good look this afternoon and it wasn't obvious. I will go back to it tomorrow and pull a few bit off to try and locate. Under the bonnet is very dry but I noticed it stopped after it had been MOT'd and both front brake pipes had been replaced, so ...

Hi Geoff and thanks for a very speedy reply.
I have had the box off already today and the fan is clean and dry. I had looked at a post from you before I posted re the fuse and saw the picture of the the location but I don't have one on my van. Any other suggestions

front heater fan inoperative

Hi
My front heater fan has stopped working.
The fuse under the bonnet looks ok.
If I take a live direct to the motor wire the motor works.
There is no live at the connection to the motor.
There is no live on the connector to the control unit (going in to the section for the speed switch.
any ...

Re: EGR Valve / injector pump?

update
injector pump was swapped from a similar model and fault changed to ERG valve. Both were replaced and the vehicle was ok for approx 120 mile then light back on. once stood (an hour or more) light comes on every 3 - 6 miles.
Back to the garage and the original fault is showing on the code ...

Re: EGR Valve / injector pump?

Thanks both. They do have a code reader which is plugged in next to the passage door. The only error code when flashing is the solenoid under the passenger seat. once reset it runs fine for 3 to 4 miles then back to the same fault. its a bit like the song "there's a hole in my bucket!"

Re: What double din with god will fit a Mazda Bongo 1998

I bought a kenwood DPX 5100 BT in Feb and fitted straight in. Used existing adaptor for the wiring. This is Bluetooth and takes a usb so didn't bother with cd. Have about 30CD on the flashdrive and can use Bluetooth to get digital radio. About £110

EGR Valve / injector pump?

Hi
I have read lots of similar complaints on here but not conclusive answer that fits mine. This is a 2002 flyby wire vehicle.
Vehicle had a reconditioned head fitted at a bongo specialist and after 160 miles the glow plug started to flash. Once the engine has stood and cooled the light is out but ...

Re: door loom earth wire colours

Many thanks for your input both.
Wires to the main earth point are black but there are a number of return wires to components which tend to be black with a tracer. Also fairly happy that the door will earth well with the possible exception of the speaker.
Strangely the main live to the window ...
