Headlight ceramic connectors??
I've got a P Reg, 2.5L and I had a headlight that went dim so I replaced it only to have the other side do the same thing. Then the new bulb went dim so upon further investigation I've found that I can wiggle the dim lights connector and it fixes the issue. Now just tonight, there were no headlights ...

Re: Remote Start, Immobiliser & Remote Locking???
hey,
without wanting to divert you to the "other" site, someone posted a really handy pdf of how they did it. It worked a treat for me and was an easy enough job to do in the end. I did automatic fold mirrors and remade the door wiring loom at the same time and all of that took me all day. But the ...

Re: Front & Rear Heater Issues
Just an update... We drained the coolant, replaced the thermostat (ended up pan testing ok) and replaced the front heater matrix. Refilled coolant, bleed the system and I now have front heat up to a proper temp. So, seems as though the front matrix was clogged. Not sure of the extent but the 2nd ...

Re: Remote Start, Immobiliser & Remote Locking???
It may be worth finding out some more on the rules regarding use of remote starting devices is the vehicle is to be left on public road. It's the same reason why turbo timers are not fitted for use in UK. Highway Code states http://highwaycode.info/rule/123

I have a '96 2.5L with central locking (from drivers door unlocks all when key is used) and I'd like to fit the above items. From what I've read, I should only need the following items...

What Hose is this??
I've noticed a dry and cracked hose when snooping around yesterday.
Red circle shows where the hose connects. For reference, 13-222 is connected to the air filter pipe below the drivers seat. The small hose is connected to one of the vacuum stems on top of the engine.

Manifold Stud Question...
I've got the high pitched whine on acceleration just like you'd have with a sheared off #1 stud but #1 looks fine. However, I did notice that this one (from the turbo to the exhaust manifold #10-139) is sheared off and was wondering if this could be causing the whine on acceleration? If so, is this ...

Re: Sluggish Acceleration
Just an update as the Bongo just was finished by the guys at Target Mini Repairs in Swansea. They fitted a second hand fuel pump from Bongo Spares (that I provided) and the Bongo is running great now. Plenty of acceleration on down shifting. It is driving like a completely different van then it has ...

Re: Thermostat & Bleeding??
No doubt the bleed process will be quicker with the thermostat removed but your Bongo won't get up to operating temprature. This will cause poor fuel consumption and the heaters won't work.
You can't fit the 'stat after bleeding, ie if you replace the 'stat you will need to bleed again.
Thanks ...

Thermostat & Bleeding??
Ok, I have purchased a second hand front heater matrix that I will be replacing in the upcoming weeks. I will obviously be draining the coolant in order to do so and then will bleed the system when finished. Seems as though I have read somewhere that the bleed process will go quicker if the ...

Re: Sluggish Acceleration
Does that price include fitting?
Do you end up with your fuel pump that you can sell on for reconditioning?
I'd go for refurb and confirm the warranty it has. The cost of replacing a fuel pump will normally be £400 upwards counting labour and the pump so it's not a job you want to repeat.

Re: Sluggish Acceleration
Took the Bongo to the garage today to have the turbo issue looked at. The mechanic said that the turbo is ok and the problem is with the fuel pump causing a fuel supply issue. I can get a (refurbished) pump for £410 or a used one for £210. My question is, can my existing pump be refurbished and who ...
