Re: Bongo conversion - interior bed size
I had a midconversion done by SPD Campers in Swansea. The bed when flattened is the full width of the back seat at shoulder level, but tapering in at leg level, and is 6ft 2in long or thereabouts. Works ok for 2 to sleep (well, my OH didn't complain too much!)

Re: TRANZWAGEN
Yes, I had my swivel passenger seat fitted by New Dawn and my friend had a full side conversion. All reports I've heard are very good

Re: private light goods to campervan
I'm just looking at reclassifying my Bongo with the DVLA. The guidance is here https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/522756/converting-a-vehicle-into-a-motorhome.pdf and there is a link in this PDF which takes you to a template covering letter you can send in with...

Re: Duvalay
I've made my own 'duvalay' with a single memory foam mattress, single quilt and a double quilt cover. I tried it this weekend for the first time and it makes a massive difference over the bumpy seats

Re: Awnings
I've got the OLPRO loopo breeze awning. It's growing on me! It's heavy but stable, waterproof and fits securely to the Bongo with a figure of 8. If you search the forum for OLPRO you'll find more comments, I think

I've been stuck inside a few times when the child lock has inexplicably kicked in, but if you can't open from the outside either it's not that!

Re: Olpto loopo breeze awning
I tried my OLPRO Loopo Breeze awning out last weekend at Clumber Park. Quite straightforward to put up on my own (except I couldn't work out how to attach the figure of 8 strips to my Bongo so used the throw over straps). It's very roomy and stable. The inflation is dead easy with the supplied pump....

Re: Show us yer insides
Hi, that's really lovely and I like the fact that the seat can be stored in the boot if needed. I have a little unit similar to yours so this is something I could do to allow better sleeping. Do you have any other photos of the extra seating. Is it also a storage unit? Thanks xx The box isn't reall...

Re: Show us yer insides
Thanks. It was done by SPD Campers in Swansea and cost around £2500.Bongoplod wrote:Jo Anne,I like that conversion.
As a single camper,I particularly like the capability for a single bed with a bit of room round then sides.
Where did you get it done please, and can you gice a rough idea of the cost

Re: Show us yer insides
My Bongo mid-conversion is now complete so I thought I'd share some pictures. The bed extension is easily removable, so it can be stowed in the boot or garage to use the bongo as a day van. http://i1383.photobucket.com/albums/ah300/Jo123/13006726_10154094228056530_4107472393568565910_n_zpsmrotzfvw.j...
