Re: Wild or very cheap camping, Bury, Lancs

Sorry for the late reply, thanks so much for these, I will look into them this weekend. The training venue is a unit on an industrial estate, I am not sure they even have their own parking. I did ask how much to park inside overnight because occasionally they park their landrover inside if they can ...

Wild or very cheap camping, Bury, Lancs

I'm going to a dog training week up in Bury in August. There are some lovely campsites locally, but I really begrudge spending £25/30 a night when I will be off the site for so long every day.

Does anyone know of a good place to camp over that way? Ideally there will be a nice farmer who lets out ...

Airlocks/flushing the system

Hi,

I have searched, but I think I'm not searching for the correct terms because I can't find what I'm looking for. I've got to have my Bongo 'flushed' as we think we've got an airlock due to bizarre temperature guage behaviour, but want to also look for a blocked rad just in case. I want to give ...

Re: Bury, Greater Manchester

The Burrs is the most expensive and one I am hoping to avoid. :( It looks lovely yes, but I'll only be on the site overnights, with maybe needing to cook a meal there, with no time or need for dog walks as they will be training all day at the training club it seemed a bit steep at £32 a night. I ...

Bury, Greater Manchester

I'm coming up to Bury in August to do a dog training week (I will have two small dogs with me) and need somewhere to stay overnights in the Bongo. Can anyone recommend anywhere cheap? I don't mind a bit of travel there and back, but it seems a bit much to pay out some of the prices I've been quoted ...

Just push up at the front. Sorry if you knew this, but not everyone does.

Re: Long or short runners?

ok thanks, I'll send that to my dad who is doing it for me. :) I have 4 dogs to get in, one elderly, not very bendy Greyhound so we need a bit more floor space for her. And travel crates for my four small dogs, so with just one person that amount of seats and bed space is superfluours.

Might end up ...

Re: Long or short runners?

ok thanks it's a campervan so I only have 5 seats in the whole thing, so I guess that's the short runners. We don't want to reverse the seats, we want to take them out and get rid, but after I posted that I read both sheets and neither of them mention taking the seats out at all! So I guess that's ...

Long or short runners?

Hi,

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I want to take the middle seats out of my Bongo so I can rebuild as a single bed with no rear seats at all (my 4 dogs are more important than people when I go on hols quite honestly! I've looked at the member fact sheets, but there is a separate sheet for long ...

Re: What details do I need?

lol yes I knew that, I am just so conditioned to calling it the 'petrol guage' I can't call it anything else! My car is diesel and my van petrol, and I used to be a cabbie and swapped between cars and never misfueled yet.

I am just filling in the form to become a member, so hoping for a quick ...

Re: What details do I need?

Camping and caravanning club were the ones who wanted nearly £500!! In the end I found one for £250 with the broker who insures my work van and car.

My little Bongo is now with the mechanic so I won't see it again for a couple of weeks, if not longer! Belt squeaking on the way home, which we didn't ...
