Re: Immobiliser problem
Thanks for your concern. You are right re the insurance position as I get a discount for having the Cobra alarm fitted.Things have changed over the weekend.I was all set to have the van taken to Pitstop but the guy who promised to take it on his lowloader let me down due to his other breakdown work.I ...

Re: Immobiliser problem
Thanks for the good advice offered.I have been to Pitstop in Bodmin today and will be getting the Bongo delivered down to them.I wasn't aware of this garage and it is only 20miles or so from where I live.I will probably have the alarm removed as it is too troublesome .There may be a big problem with ...

Re: Power steering failure
Thanx for the info do you know the correct procedure for topping up the level? Do you fill up the reservoir when the engine is hot or cold? The level on mine is on MINIMUM when cold but some way above this mark when warm. Not really happy with seeing the level on MIN so how much should I put in I don ...

Re: Power steering failure
Thanx for the good advice from all.Had the new pipe fitted today only took an hour or so and steering seems perfect. One concern though is the fluid level in the reservoir .On checking the level after returning home from garage it seemed to be around the minimum level mark. After running for a few ...

Re: Power steering failure
Just had a peek at the steering rack by removing air intake under bonnet.Dunno whether its good news or bad but the leak isn't coming from the rack seal as it is completely dry.Now I suspect the pump itself is the prob .Where is the pump situated exactly? When I first found the leak underneath it ...

Power steering failure
Power steering has failed no fluid in reservoir so topped it up .Fluid drained out completely when restarting engine power steering only working for a few mins.I suspect it may be the top rack seal that has gone as that is the one mentioned via this forum and it fits these symptoms. The garage will ...

Re: Ignition key stuck in lock
Thanx for this info it may be relevant. This morning went out to Bongo and the key came out normally after trying all afternoon yesterday.Thing I noticed was that the key was now in the fully off position whereas yesterday it was not.It does seem as though it is a problem when it is warm. Can't think ...

Re: Sliding door interior handle
Thanks for the helpful info and also for the Japanese "translation" unintentional hilarity !Anyhow it was obvious from the pics that my door handle had been previously got at and it was merely bashed hard onto the splines with no clip and part of the plastic broken off.Got the handle off with the ...

Sliding door interior handle
Can someone tell me what holds the inner sliding door handle on the splines?I can see no pin or circlip type fitting which you might expect.I don't want to use brute strength if there is something simple preventing me removing it.

Re: TM-2 Temp sensor short?
I think a break in the lead is most likely down to how I've routed it into the dash but finding the break would be difficult as also rejoining and soldering? Is the lead soldered into the display unit or screwed in?I would think replacing the lead would be the way to go.Easy job?How much would it be ...
