Looks good
Did you tear off all of the existing vinyl from the rear panels or just overlay it?
Cheers

LED Internal Lights
Going back to the old threads on converting the internal lights to LED, has anyone does this recently?
The old links have expired and I'm not sure the products are the same
Ebaying for "36 LED XENON WHITE T10 FESTOON BA9S CAR INTERIOR LIGHT" and a 24 LED panel for the tailgate light brings up ...

Switched live 12V feed
Hello all
Need a switched live feed for a temp alarm. I have a Willinton split charge kit so the normal obvious ones behind the stereo are now permanent live. Is there any other easy accessible switched lives I can get to?
Cheers

Re: Tailgate rattle
Cheers all. Will have a play with the latch and check the seal. The sound appears to be the mechanism bouncing in the door itself as the door monocoque flexes which is odd...

Tailgate rattle
Hey all
Got a hellish rattle coming from the tailgate area. I've silenced all of the moving parts within the tailgate to no avail.
Any one had similar?
Cheers

Internal trim panel clips / seatbelt blanking
Hey all
Our van is missing a few clips where they have pinged off when taking off the internal trim panels. I am reinsulating when the van comes back so will probably lose some more...
Where can you buy replacements? Also need some for the rear trim panel on the tailgate

Re: Poorly Bongo - the inevitable?
All new headbolts and will do the crankshaft seals...I'd just forgotten about them
New cambelt as well. Only thing may reuse is waterpump as its only 18 months old...but may be worth changing.

Re: What 18" tyre size (I've done a search)
Is there any concerns with wheels designed for a car being used on a vehicle 1 tonne heavier?

Re: Poorly Bongo - the inevitable?
After reading above, I think asking for new crank shaft seals at the same time would be a good idea
If had that pain on an old polo...but at least fitting the seal was an easy enough diy job (once I'd got the sodding crankshaft pulley bolt off...)

Re: Poorly Bongo - the inevitable?
Right
Bitten the bullet and booked the old girl in
Bought a 125000km engine with all ancillaries. Going to get my new head, gaskets, cambelt, tensioner bearing, spring etc swapped onto it and build it up with the best of the rest. Will give some spares as well. My engine has recently had new water ...

Re: Poorly Bongo - the inevitable?
Replacement engine sourced from a running van (bodywork write off)
1200 to buy/fit as is. I could potentially get refund on the head I suppose
1400 to fit with new head (2000 all in)
1200 last year on bodywork
I don't have the money for engine replacement. Especially when it feels like its odds ...

Re: Poorly Bongo - the inevitable?
Thanks all
Right, well this has got a bit more painful. The head has come off to find heat marking in the bores...along with some hairline cracks in one cylinder.
So it seems that block is toast...
I've got no idea what to do now...
